Job Description

The Building Inspector is tasked with enforcing building codes and regulations by doing in-depth investigations and inspections.   • Instructs other contractors and city personnel on construction projects, providing guidance and mechanical incitement as needed. Participates in numerous training programs to remain informed of new trends in the construction industry, as well as inspection requirements that apply.

  • At the time of recruiting, candidates must possess a Certified Erosion and Sedimentation Control Lead certificate, or the ability to get one within six months of starting.
